Siddarth Visits Zurich on a work trip

I had the good fortune to make a business trip to London and Zurich to visit partner teams for YouTube. This was slightly in lieu of Mobile World Congress, which takes place every year in February, and in Barcelona. But due to Covid19, MWC was cancelled this year. But my group of travelling co-workers decided to make the trip anyways, and stop in Zurich instead, to work with YouTube teams there.

Having landed in Zurich on a Saturday, I had the chance to walk around the streets of the city on the first night, and took some pictures there, before strolling over to a dinner with some colleagues.

On Sunday, I was joined by another co-worker, Pawel, and we made a trip by train to a nearby town of Goldau, so that we could take another train up the mountain of Rigi, and go in a short hike. We enjoyed walking in the snow, taking in the beautiful scenery of the mountains, picnic’d on some sandwiches from the train station, and took a cable car back down to the Rigi train, to Goldau and then back to Zurich.

After work one night, we visited a fondue restaurant called Chäsalp just a little ways outside Zurich. (the team translation was “Cheese Mountain”). Way too much delicious cheese was consumed with bread, potatoes, vegetables, and other items.

During Lunch one day, Pawel led us on an adventure to a local Milchautomat (aka Milk Machine), where we bought raw unpasteurized milk from the adjacent farm. It was delicious, and we got to see some cows too.
